Giving

One of the most amazing promises in all the Bible is found in the third chapter of Malachi, where God invites us to literally test Him. He wants us to try Him and see how faithful He is. He invites us to cheerfully return our 10% tithe and our systematic offerings to His storehouse, as our acknowledgement that He is the supplier of all that we have, and then to watch as He blesses us in many areas of our lives.

In the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we give both tithe and offerings.

Tithe is the return of 10% of a member’s personal income or increase to God, considered holy and distinct from offerings, and is specifically designated for supporting ministers, Bible teachers, and conference-based evangelism.

Offerings are for local church maintenance, building projects, operational expenses, or other mission focus areas.
